105 Gibson Subsidy Program for Low-Income Clients

Overview

At 105 Gibson Centre, we offer fee subsidies and exemptions for our programs and services to support the health and resilience of low-income individuals and the working poor. Our initiative aims to enhance their overall well-being and access to essential resources.

Our Goals

We strive to improve the economic, health, and social status of our clients by:

  • Promoting Healthy Lifestyles: Encouraging activities that support personal resilience and well-being.
  • Enhancing Cultural Engagement: Increasing opportunities for participation in art and cultural events.
  • Supporting Caregivers: Improving the physical and mental health of those who provide care.
  • Fostering Social Integration: Helping clients integrate more fully into the community and Canadian culture.

Community Needs Refugee Scholarship 2024

 

Application Deadline: July 15, 2024

With a commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowerment, we are excited to introduce the Community Needs Refugee Scholarship, a private scholarship aimed at assisting individuals who are seeking refuge from challenging circumstances worldwide and are relocating to Canada in search of a better future. Every year, we offer two scholarships of $2,000 each to aid two qualifying students from diverse backgrounds to pursue higher education.

Scholarship:

  • Two scholarships yearly, each valued at $ 2,000

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The applicant must be a refugee or come from a family who had entered Canada as refugees
  • The applicant must be studying in or entering an accredited university or college.
  • The applicant’s GPA should be at least 3.0 or 80% and above in their high school graduating year, whichever is applicable.
  • Volunteer involvement and experience at the 105 Gibson Centre or other charitable organizations would be an essential factor for consideration.
