105 Gibson Youth Services are designed to support and mentor youth in our neighborhood.  We see the potential and capabilities in youth and believe they deserve a loving and supporting community that they feel belonged to. Therefore, we build this space for them where they can experience love, faith, and hope; together with a series of multi-ethnic empowerment program, we hope to turn these young men and women into outstanding world citizens with characters grounded in the image of Jesus Christ. Youth Strengths Workshop
Have you ever wondered why you make certain choices? Why are you drawn to certain activities or subjects? There is a simple and powerful reason:
It is the talents in you!

StrengthsQuest will be used in the workshop to let youth discover and apply their strengths in daily living, study and career path finding. It is a world renowned strength assessment tool used by leading universities to help students select courses where they can excel. It is used by Google, Intel, Toyota and leading organizations to help employees become more effective in their roles and responsibilities. This tool can help you discover your strengths.

NPower Canada is a free IT training and job placement program for youth in York Region aged 18 to 29.  New session is held at 105 Gibson Centre. The program offers:

  • 15 weeks of intensive in-class tech skills training at no cost
  • Paid internships and job placements
  • 2 years of career advancement support to get you where you want to go

Youth Success Initiatives

Funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Youth Success Initiatives provide free tutorials for students from low-income families, racialized and new immigrants struggling to succeed in math, science and ESL in the Ontario curriculum.

A Meal Together

Sharing food builds friendship! A free meal is offered to youths in our community along with sports and healthy activities. We hope the youth would see 105 Gibson Centre as a home where they can build friendship with others in the community.

We run every Thursday from 3:30pm – 7:30pm. Registration is required 24 hours before dinner, free of charge. Youth aged 14-22 are welcome!

40 Hours and Beyond

40 Hours and Beyond offers students from Grade 9 to 12 customized skills development roadmap, introduces them to volunteer opportunities and provides mentorship with a career path.
