Miranda is a Registered Social Worker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, and a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Hong Kong. Miranda’s social work practice includes both clinical and case management skills. Prior to her immigration to Canada, Miranda had worked for the Hong Kong Government. Over the years in Canada, she worked respectively in family service centers, mental health agencies, hospitals, probation offices, high schools as well as the Mental Health and Youth Justice Courts.
For the past 15 years working in the Children’s Mental Health Sector, Miranda offers individual and group counselling services focusing on supporting adolescents, young adults and their parents on their behavioural, emotional, and mental health challenges. Additionally, through her experience as a Probation Officer and a Mental Health Clinician, Miranda also has a solid knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Justice System, and the Law and Mental Health. She believes in strength-based and adopts a client-centered approach to help advocating for others’ needs.
