Gibson Groundbreaking – July 15th 2012

The groundbreaking ceremony has taken place amidst showers of blessings from God that came just in time. With the collaborative effort of all three congregations, the ceremony went smoothly and was filled with joy and encouraging words. 323 t-shirts have been sold and 700 ministry-plan booklets have been delivered. The ceremony, which was the first of its kind since Markham has become a city, was officiated by Mayor of Markham Frank Scarpitti. Many honourable guests have attended as well, including Ward 8 councillor Alex Chiu, representative of MPP Michael Chan, representative of Ontario Trillium Foundation, and the President of Tyndale University College and Seminary. Around 700 brothers and sisters wrote their blessings and prayers on the future construction materials of the centre. The ceremony was covered by various media (e.g., Omni News, Wow TV).

The signed dry-walls are put in the atrium beginning July 22nd for you to sign them if you have not already done so. A table is set in the atrium for you to subscribe for the community centre news, or to pick-up ministry-plan booklets.  –  Pastor Jonathan Chan
